The Apprenticeship Program is designed for students who want to expand their role in the studio beyond their own classes and performances. It gives committed dancers the opportunity to learn how to lead, assist in a class setting, and develop skills that prepare them for future teaching and mentorship opportunities.
This is a guided program that combines dance education, leadership development, and practical training in a supportive studio environment.
What the Program Includes
Apprentices take part in structured training that helps them grow in both skill and responsibility. Each certification level includes:
- Leadership training
- Dance technique development
- Training on how to break down steps and teach choreography
- Classroom management guidance
- Interpersonal and communication skill development
- 3 to 4 workshops
- Feedback sessions
Students will also gain hands-on experience supporting instructors and learning what it takes to lead well in a studio setting.
Criteria for Consideration
Students interested in the Apprenticeship Program must:
- Have at least 1 year as a Revolution Company Member
- Demonstrate Revolution’s core values
- Be able to commit to the program for the full year
